Our Story

Honey's Village was founded on a simple truth: no one should have to choose between caring for a dying loved one and keeping their home in order. Our founder experienced this firsthand — watching a parent battle terminal cancer while the everyday demands of a household didn't pause for grief. That experience became the reason Honey's Village exists.

Our Mission

Honey's Village gives cancer and terminally ill patients, plus their families, back their time — providing free household cleaning and maintenance so they can spend it on what matters most.

Why Honey’s Village?

There's a saying that it takes a village to raise a child. We believe it also takes one to help a family say goodbye. Every laundry load folded, every dish washed, every yard mowed is one less thing standing between a family and the time they have left together.

Who We Serve

We serve cancer and terminally ill patients throughout White County, Arkansas — with a particular focus on those in rural areas with limited access to nearby support. Many of our clients are Cancer and Terminally Ill patients and no longer have family nearby to lean on. We're here to fill that gap.

Our Reason, Our Linda Honey

On April the 1st, 2024, our Mother, Linda Palmer, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. GBM currently has no cure or treatments that can extend life further than a few months.

Our Honey bravely fought for six and a half months, enduring countless treatments, doctor’s appointments, a five-hour brain surgery, and a multitude of newfound disabilities that the tumor left her with. Through it all, she remained hopeful and faithful, trusting that God was in control.

One thing that never stopped was life. We knew this was too much for us to handle on our own and our village came running to help. From cooking, to cleaning, to mowing the yard, our village knew we needed the help, even if we didn’t ask for it.

Thus, Honey’s Village was born. A profound experience of pain turned into a lightbulb from God. I knew we needed to pay it forward and provide the same level of care others had given to us. We are extremely blessed to have the village we have, but we know others may not have that, which is exactly why we want to be that for you.

Honey’s Village - created out of having purpose in the pain. A way of honoring our Mother who cared for us for all of those years.
